Slit Barn
|
RARE is a 1000-acre diverse landscape site in Cambridge, Ontario along the Grand River. PLANT is leading a team of consultants to create a master plan for the site. The purpose is to provide a structure for the research and education functions, and interpretive public trail system. Together with NORR Architects, we are developing a 14,000 sf interpretive centre complex of 3 buildings. An 1840’s stone farmhouse will be transformed into The Resource House a place for researchers and site administration. The 1840’s stone Slit Barn will become a trailhead, welcoming centre and three season exhibit space. The Field House will be a new building providing the central public space for dissemination and exchange of ideas between the public, researchers and RARE. |
