Superlegible furniture, like many of our projects, uses recycled materials. It was a prototype commissioned for exhibit by Torontos Design Exchange entitled New Landscape: Design Transforms Canadian Furniture, to address sustainability in furniture. We harvested discarded material newspaper treated it as raw material, and explored its aesthetic and structural possibilities transforming it from everyday reading object into a textured typographically fragmented cellular structure. Here, we examined our cultural attitude to trash.
