Camp Arowhon Offices Garden

The dining pergola

This roof garden was built as an oasis behind the Camp Arowhon Offices in Toronto. The garden does double duty, providing a place for the staff to gather in good weather (for lunch and meetings) as well as providing a screened and textured “winter garden” to be viewed from one of the directors' offices. The planting was selected to provide lushness in spring and fall (the offices are vacated during camp months) and winter interest. All of the built elements were built from cedar harvested from nearby the camp, adding another link to Algonquin.
